As a leading producer of premium natural balms, Leaping Fish has turned their experience to produce a balm for the many dogs who are regularly involved in outdoor activities with their owners - whether this is Canicross events for runners, for working dogs on farms or longer days out hiking. Dogs paws can suffer from the terrain and weather conditions with cracks, cuts, mud rash, from running on roads, pavements and rough surfaces as well as from chemicals and infections - it's no wonder they need some care and attention to help keep them at their best.
Leaping Fish's Dog Paw Balm is a blend of natural plant oils and waxes to nourish and moisturise the pads to aid recovery and help ease discomfort and soreness. The balm is chemical free, contain no parabens, SLS's or water and is easily applied and absorbed; it is dog friendly and non toxic and so won't upset your dog if they lick their paws after application. Their experience in producing premium balms for a range of sports and activities has been used to develop their Dog Paw Balm which contains selected ingredients to combine together to produce a natural solution for damaged pads; the blend allows the skin on the pads to breathe naturally whilst protecting them from the elements.
We do not include essential oils in this blend because of the extreme sensitivity of a dog's sense of smell, and because the ingredients such as Sea Buckthorn and Avocado have a range of effective qualities making their inclusion unnecessary:
Shea Butter has vitamins A and E and helps hydrate dried and cracked tissues.
Avocado Butter which naturally contains important nutrients including vitamins A, B, C, E and K as well as minerals including copper iron, magnesium and potassium.
Coconut oil is a natural moisturiser, and Vitamin E is an anti-oxidant
Sea Buckthorn contains vitamins A, B1, B2, B6, C, and other active ingredients and acts as an anti-inflammatory - Sea Buckthorn has traditionally been used in wound healing. It's vibrant colour gives our Dog Paw Balm its natural orange appearance.
Leaping Fish's Dog Paw Balm can also safely be used on areas of dry skin or if your dog has a dry snout. It's Vegan too!If you have any concerns about the health of your dog you should always consult a Vet.
